The Administrative Support unit is part of the economic office and consists of 20 employees and a manager. The unit's mission is to ensure sustainable long-term financing of the municipality's operations by providing qualified economic support to the organization's managers.

RESPONSIBILITIES

As a controller, you will support responsible managers in financial matters. This includes preparing budget proposals, monitoring costs and revenues, and continuously analyzing financial results. The controller assists managers in preparing forecasts, identifying deviations, and suggesting measures to ensure that operations meet their goals and frameworks.

To succeed in this role, you need excellent pedagogical skills and the ability to express yourself clearly and simply in both speech and writing. Being able to explain economics to non-economists is one of the cornerstones of the role.

Since we work with both digital and physical meetings, there is an opportunity for remote work part of the time.

In addition to the operational support, there is a need for overarching analyses and development work, so it is important that you have the willingness and commitment to work on continuous improvement and development of operations and routines.

QUALIFICATIONS

The role requires a degree from a university or college with a focus on economics, or other education and/or experience deemed equivalent by the employer. Experience in qualified economic work is a requirement, preferably from a larger organization. We expect you to have very good knowledge of Swedish and be able to express yourself without problems in both speech and writing.

You should have excellent pedagogical skills and be good at building relationships, as the role involves close collaboration with the organization's managers. A genuine interest in the operations you support and the ability to view issues from more than one perspective is a prerequisite.

It is very important that you are engaged, work in a structured manner, and can plan and carry out your work independently according to the annual timeline.
